Ghana among highest scorers in MCA requirements

Ghana - - XYZ Business

Ghana scored 18 out of 20 indicators to make it one of the highest countries of score cards released by the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
The scores include indicators which the corporation uses to select countries eligible for the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) assistance.
The two indicators that the country could not move above the median were the fiscal policy and primary education expenditures.
However, a critical look at the data indicates that from 2009, Ghana has been making progress at the fiscal policy.
Meanwhile, the board of the Millennium Challenge Corporation will meet next month to decide whether to approve the second compact or not.
XYZ BUSINESS understands that government is concluding all outstanding matters with respect to the first compact to benefit from the second compact.
